Join me on my journey!
Still Cool Parents is a blog about navigating the wild, beautiful chaos of raising kids—without losing the parts of yourself that made you you in the first place.
It’s for the parents who still love live music, getting outside, or any other number of activities—but who now schedule fun around nap time and bedtime. It’s about embracing the shift, laughing through the hard stuff, and finding moments of beauty and identity in a life full of snack crumbs and tiny shoes.
Because we’re still cool. Just with earlier bedtimes.
I’m Laura—a mom of two girls, a full time small business owner, and someone who never really thought of herself as a “kid person”. I spent my twenties going to concerts, traveling, and chasing big dreams. Now I spend my days juggling daycare drop-offs, bedtime routines, and the constant search for my kids’ missing shoes—while still trying to hold on to the things that light me up.
This blog started as a way to make sense of that shift. The one where you become a parent, and everything changes—but you’re still in there, somewhere, just under the surface of the chaos. I write to process, to reflect, and to connect with other parents trying to stay grounded in who they are, even as they give so much of themselves to their kids.
We’re all doing our best—and I’m here to share the funny, honest, sometimes bittersweet pieces of what that looks like.
